When I first started writing, I also started daydreaming. I Googled "best-selling children's books" and imagined mine among them. I pictured every household having one of my books sitting next to their copy of The Very Hungry Caterpillar. I imagined people instantly thinking of my books when shopping for baby showers, birthdays, and Christmas gifts...
I thought I was just daydreaming, and I was embarrassed to tell anyone about it—until I came across a term: envisioning success. It means “the act of visualizing your goals and imagining yourself achieving them”—or, in other words, daydreaming.
Apparently, envisioning success can “help you stay focused and motivated and can also help you recognize opportunities that can lead to success.” I never knew that daydreaming could have such a justified purpose—or that it was actually helpful.
So, here are some successful scenarios I’m envisioning. I would be over the moon if I could achieve them someday:
It’s not just about selling books—it’s about making a difference. I want my stories to help children feel seen, to encourage them, and to bring joy into their lives. If even one child grows up carrying the lessons from my books in their heart, then every word I’ve written will have been worth it.
So, I’ll keep writing. I’ll keep imagining. And I’ll keep working toward a future where my stories touch the lives of children everywhere. Because that, more than anything, is the dream worth chasing.
I’d love to hear from you! Whether you have a question, want to learn more about my books, or just want to say hello, feel free to reach out. Let’s create something magical together!
